These services are designed to assist law firms with risk & compliance issues at the same time as ensuring they deliver consistently high quality and profitable legal services.
Based on vast of experience from working in a profession going through tremendous changes, Lawrisk works with private practice law firms providing practical and tailored advice on how to address risk, compliance and quality issues and then extends to providing practical support with the implementation and maintenance of the measures required. This support can be provided on a fixed or flexible, project or retainer basis.
Under the new SRA Continuing Competence scheme, “training” now takes on a much wider scope that embraces all “learning and development” activity undertaken for all members of a firm. Lawrisk has been delivering highly successful learning and development activities for 16 years ensuring that delegates acquire the necessary knowledge and skills required for competence in their role responsibilities including management and supervision skills i.e. soft skills.
These events are delivered in an informal, practical and interactive format, usually in 3 or 6 hours sessions.
The Director at Lawrisk carries out Lexcel Assessments on behalf of the Law Society and Specialist Quality Mark on behalf of the Legal Aid Agency. In the not-for-profit section assessments are carried out against the similar standard, AQS. Audit and assessment services are also carried out in-house for firms as part of their compliance regimes. On occasions, an audit services may be restricted to carrying out independent file audits or extend to full systems and compliance audits with reports on good practices, areas for improvements as well as identifying breaches or non-compliances [SRA Code of Conduct, Lexcel, CQS and so on].
